Suvarna Toran

A toran woven from banana leaves and fresh turmeric roots (kachchi haldi)
is a living invocation. Hung at the doorway during Diwali and other sacred
days, it forms the arch beneath which Goddess Laxmi is welcomed, while
warding off negative energies. The green banana leaf symbolises unending
fertility and growth, while golden turmeric shines with purity and promise.
Together, they mirror Laxmi’s own radiance, so that when she crosses the
threshold, her blessings of prosperity, harmony, and abundance flow into
every corner of the home.
Flowers Used: Betel (paan) leaves, Ganesh imprinted on Resin, Raw
Turmeric, Dries and Roli, set on jute.
