Uluk—Laxmi’s Vahan
When Goddess Laxmi first arose from the ocean, the devas and asuras bowed before Her
splendour, each longing for Her gaze and favour. All except the humble owl, Uluk, who stood
apart—silent and steadfast, offering not desire for jewels but his watchful eyes to guard Her light
through the darkness. Maa Laxmi instantly chose Uluk as Her Vahan. Since then, the owl has
flown at Her side, a reminder that prosperity must walk with vigilance and abundance must be
guarded with wisdom.
Message: Uluk’s message endures—that wealth without awareness is blindness, but with
discernment it becomes grace.
